Q:
What is aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy
is a holistic therapy that uses essential oils to improve one’s
health and psychological well-being. Essential oils are highly concentrated
extracts from the aromatic parts of herbs, flowers, trees, bark
and grasses. They have been in use for thousands of years. They
are totally natural substances that have the ability to positively
influence the mind and body.
Q.
What's the difference between a fragrance oil and an essential oil?
Essential oils are naturally concentrated essences of plants, roots,
flowers, leaves, fruits, etc. Fragrance oils are man-made fragrances,
which alot of fragrances are combined with man-made and natural
essences to create that perfect fragrance. Per our customers requests,
Peaceful Scents uses both fragrance oils and essential oils. Where
possible, we prefer essential oils, though for many scents (e.g.
elderberry wine), the natural fragrance does not exist or is not
available.
Q:
Why are soy candles better than paraffin?
Soy
candles produce less soot then paraffin. They are made from soy
beans, not petroleum
by-products. Soy candles burn cleaner, with reduced carbon build
up and virtually no pollutants! Soy bean candles are environmentally
friendly, promotes the growth and care of the environment by using
plants! Supports American Farmers! With our soy candles you can
enjoy NO SOOT, OR SMOKE. Each candle is hand poured to ensure quality,
and is made from natural soybean wax, which is processed from soybeans
grown in the United States.
Q.
Is there lead in your wicks?
No. We use a cotton and paper blend wick in all of our candles.
No lead is ever used.
Q. How can I easily clean the jars
to use as containers?
The wax is water soluble which means it will clean up with warm,
soapy water. You may want to let it soak in warm to hot water to
loosen the base of the wick in order to remove it.
Q. I see a some black film on the
inside of the jar after burning…why?
Even though our vegetable wax is clean burning, there are a few
reasons why you could get a smoky film on the inside of the jars.
One reason could be that the wick was too long
while burning. Try to remember to trim the wick to 1/4 inch before
each lighting. Another reason could simply be smoke
exiting from your lighter or match when lighting.
Whatever the reason, soy bean is the cleanest burning candles you
can buy.
Q.
Are your products animal-tested?
No. We do not conduct animal testing. Our products are tested only
on willing family members and friends.
Q.
Do your products contain preservatives?
Our products contain small amounts of gentle preservatives in order
to protect freshness. Anything made with water can grow molds and
fungus. Peaceful Scents only uses preservatives in these type of
products to protect our customers.
Q.
Can I use your products if I have sensitive skin?
Individuals with sensitive skin sometimes have trouble with products
containing fragrances. If you have sensitive skin, you may want
to try the product on a small area of skin first. Another option
is to request a low-level of scenting (email this request right
after ordering). Peaceful Scents also carries unscented products.

Q. How do I cancel an order?
Need to cancel, no problem! Please call our Customer Service department
with your order number handy at 1-763-323-3329. Please leave a voice
mail message and we will call you back asap, as we are busy packing
orders or creating new and exiting products. If you prefer you may

Q. How can I change an order I've
already placed?

Q. Do
you ship internationally?
We are very sorry, but we currently do not have the capability of
accepting orders outside of the United States.
We only ship within the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii).

Is my credit card transaction secure?
Your credit card transactions are secure. All orders are encrypted
and sent through a secure server using SSL technology to prevent
information from being intercepted.

SHIPPING
Q. How long will it take for my order
to arrive?
Orders are usually produced and shipped within 3 working days of
being placed (often faster). For Standard Ground shipping, please
allow 5 to 10 business days from the date of purchase for the product
to arrive, depending on where in the U.S. you live.
Q. What methods of shipping do you
offer?
Standard FedEx & UPS Ground should deliver within 5 to 10 business
days from the date of purchase. For an additional charge, we can
send your order via Express (2-3 business days) or Next Day Service
for delivery the next business day (on orders placed before noon
Central Time). Shipments to Alaska or Hawaii are available via 2nd
Day or Next Day Delivery only. UPS & FedEx do not deliver to
P.O. boxes
Q. When can I expect my order to ship?
Please allow our warehouse at least 48 hours (not including weekends
or holidays) to prepare your order for shipment. If you have provided
us with your email address, as soon as your order ships, we will
send you an email to let you know.
Q. Which Carriers do you use?
For your convenience, we ship our products via UPS & FedEx.
Q. Does choosing Next Day Air mean
my order will arrive tomorrow?
Not in all cases. If you order and select Next Day Air shipping,
the items will ship within 24 hours and arrive on the following
business day-two business days total. Please keep in mind that weekend
delivery does not occur for Second or Next Day Air. Always check
the product availability before ordering. If the product stock level
is low, there is a chance your selection may not be available by
the time your order is processed and cannot be shipped until the
inventory has been replaced.
Q. Can I use a different carrier (other
than those you list)?
At this time, we are limited to shipping all orders via UPS or FedEx.
Q. Do you deliver to P.O. Boxes via
UPS?
Sorry, UPS & FedEx. does not deliver to P.O. boxes.
Q. How do I track my orders?
Please email or call us with your order number and we will look
it up and call or email you back with the arrival day.
Q. Do you ship on weekends?
At this time, we do not ship on weekends. All orders are processed
for shipment Monday-Friday.
Q.
Do you charge sales tax?
Sales tax of 6.5% will be added to orders shipped in Minnesota.
Q. Can I change the shipping address
after the order is placed?
Absolutely, please call 1-763-323-3329 for customer service and
we will be happy to change the address provided the order has not
already shipped.

RETURNS
Q. What is your guarantee of satisfaction?
Peaceful Scents provides our customers with 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.
If for any reason you are not fully satisfied with your purchase,
please contact us and let us know why you are unhappy. We will do
everything that we can to fix the problem. Simply return the product
along with a copy of your invoice (proof of purchase) within 30
days for a full refund less shipping and handling or a credit on
a future purchase.

Q. Under what conditions may I return
an order?
You may return your product for any reason. Peaceful Scents stands
by each and every product. We have a 100% product satisfaction guarantee.
Q. How do I package an order for return?
If you still have the original packing materials in which it was
delivered, please use them. If you no longer have the box and packing
materials, just use any suitable box with enough packing to prevent
breakage.
Q. Am I charged shipping for exchanges?
No, Peaceful Scents will pay for the shipping charges for exchanges.
Q. When can I expect my refund?
Your refund will be processed as soon as we receive your returned
package. Generally, your may expect your refund within 2-3 weeks.
Q. What if a item is damaged in shipment?
If an item is damaged in shipping, please contact our Customer Service
Department at
